9-Month Check-up

100_0308 Mac had his check-up today and is doing very well! He is 21 pounds, 14 ounces, in the 75th percentile for weight. His length (height) is 28.75 inches, also in the 75th percentile. His noggin continues to rank in the 95th percentile at 18.75 inches (good thing she re-measured; I can’t imagine where the first measurement of 19 inches would have put him)!! He didn’t need any vaccinations, but he did get his flu shot today. The kid didnt’ even WHIMPER. (Challenge: CJ) No lies -  Jeremy is my witness. Not even a hint of crying during or after his shot. He just sort of looked at the nurse, as if to say, “is that all you got?” What a brave and tolerant boy. Now he’s napping, again, after we totally screwed up his napping schedule with the appointment time.  Oops.

This photo is of a walking toy a friend from work gave us.  We were asking around ever since he was playing in the nursery at BT and was walking behind a chair.  He loves playing with it now, but not for the reasons we thought - right now he loves just playing with and opening all the doors in the front and playing with the pieces!  It has an adjustable wheel that we can allow it to go slow now but faster as he gets better at it.

We’re looking forward to hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year, and now I’m off to bake a couple of pies.  Jeremy and Mathew are taking over most of the meal, with my only requirements to fill in things I specifically want.  Watch for pictures on Flickr!!
