Role Reversal

Jeremy took the lead with Mac today as I was attending the conference most of the day. He said Mac did well, took two pretty good naps and ate well too. Hopefully Jeremy will post a thing or two about his take on this little vacation… Jeremy even said he’d watch Mac while I go to the Partstock party tomorrow night. Partstock is one of only two vendors we use at BT, and they always throw a fun party at NECC, but this year it’s at a bar, so not a place for a baby. I was hoping it would be somewhere like it was last year or the year before that was more “family friendly” so we could all go. I might not last long in the smoky bar though - where’s that non-smoking ban when you need it?

P1030484 We finally got a crib for Mac, so no more concerns about whether we should worry about him on the bed. He’s safe and sound sleeping in the crib now. :)

I really missed my little guy today! Jeremy picked up some lunch for us at the restaurant before I had to go back for my 2:00 and 3:30 sessions, both of which were very informative. Jeremy got to choose where we would go for dinner, so once Mac was fed we headed out for our next adventure: going out to dinner with Mac and no one else to hold him while we eat! We’ve been a little spoiled lately…P1030474

We ended up at Joe’s Crab Shack, and with the exception of not liking the loud music, clapping and dancing that the servers did right in front of our table (and being tired), he did pretty well. We tried him in a high chair instead of leaving him in the stroller thinking he’d like to be up closer to us. P1030477He was a bit fussy on and off, but overall we got to finish our meals with fairly little interruption. Then after a stop at Ben & Jerry’s, we headed back to the hotel and stalled a bit more before bed.

All in all, I’m still happy with the way things are going. I’m tired and it’s hot here, but it’s been a great trip so far! I love this conference… doesn’t feel much like work but for some reason my brain is very tired by the time I’m done for the day!
