Work Before Play

Posted By Jill on August 9, 2007

Today, CJ, Jeremy and Mathew helped me with a dreaded task: hauling old computers out to Stillwater where they accept them as free donations. This allows the school to dispose of old computers without having to pay per-pound at a public recycle site. They were an enormous help, especially since I’m supposed to be staying away from heavy lifting. I have to admit it is frustrating being limited in my abilities, but I’m lucky to have such great and willing help. Extra thanks to Mathew who also let us use his pick-up truck for the hauling!

P1010865 After the work was done, CJ came over for lunch and to hang with us for the rest of the day. He gets to spend lots of time at the pool, and when he’s not there, he’s at home alone for the most part. So I suggested maybe we could play a game - something neither of us get to do when we’re sitting at home alone! Jeremy asked if he wanted to play a new game… and there they sit, playing “Axis and Allies” - I don’t have much interest in these brain-intensive strategy games, so Jeremy jumped at the chance to play it with someone (it’s been at the condo now for a year, just sitting on the shelf). They seem to be having fun… I was occupied watching a special on Animal Planet called “Growing Up… Penguin.” Needless to say, we were all satisfied in our choices! And darn if it’s not about the cutest thing watching a new uncle play with his nephew… ;)
