Maintenance Required?!

So we’re driving down the freeway in the Rav, which admittedly is probably a nicer (and newer) car than either of us are accustomed. And Jeremy says to me, “uh, Honey, does the ‘maintenance required’ light come on when it’s time for an oil change?” To which I replied, “I don’t know” and proceeded to look it up in the manual. He noticed that at exactly the mileage it says on our handy-dandy little oil change reminder sticker is when this indicator illuminated… And yes, indeed, the manual confirms that when it’s time for an oil change in our fancy car, it will tell us so. Apparently it will also indicate when it is low on wiper fluid, air pressure and gasoline. And no, Mom, we didn’t run out of all at the same time. 
Cool stuff - we are easily amused. Auto technology sure has come a long way. Hey, do you think we can order kids like this nowadays?
