11 Months Old

Posted By on May 4, 2011

I actually started this post on May 4th but never did get back to it to add any more milestones or pictures.  Here’s a video from Easter, but other than that, I have to post before we get to 12 months!

A year ago I was thinking, “come on, time, move faster…” and now?  ”STOP!”  Our little girl is getting so big so fast!  Lately she has been making strides at learning to walk.  Yes, less than one year old, she has already taken her first steps (two at a time, to be exact, then dives right into Mommy or Daddy or whomever is ready to catch her.  She also loves to walk with her walking toy, when her brother allows it…

Vivian is also getting to be much more interactive these days.  She’ll laugh when we laugh, and give you a big “toofer grin” as Grandma calls it if you even just look at her.  She is starting to use her signs, but not at all consistently yet.

She’s a very good eater – her favorites right now are cheese (can’t get enough) and grapes.  She also likes macaroni and cheese, bananas, carrots, and just about any kind of bread.

The girl also likes to climb!  She conquered the steps some time ago (end of January, I think), and now she can climb onto the couch in the living room if the footrest is out (and she can push it a bit to use that to climb) and the ottoman we used to use as a barrier at one end of the living room.
