Three Months Old

I’m a little late with this and have missed several posts due to being so busy, but here we are at over three months since Vivian graced us with her presence. I did manage to snap a few pictures on the actual 3-month-old date, though!
By three months, Vivian had (and has) grown quite a bit. Today, at 14-and-a-half weeks, she is right on track with her brother in her physical development milestones. Last Saturday (at 14 weeks +2 days), she turned from her back to her tummy for the first time! She has done it a few times since, but I haven’t yet caught it on video.
Vivian remains a delightful baby, sleeping well at night and starting to almost settle into a nap routine during the day (if I’d stop interrupting her). She loves to watch the light box, just like her brother did… She was enamored with the Packer game on the big screen yesterday! She’s much happier on her tummy now, too, and continues to get stronger. A few times in the last few days we found her turned around in her crib, with her head where her feet had been. She likes to look at the toys above her on her activity mat, and she also likes to use her feet to move them (though I don’t think purposefully). In her bouncy seat or swing, she tries to sit up straight – I don’t remember Mac doing that. She’s still jabbering quite a bit too – she loves to talk to people and smile! Probably because I’ve had so much time with her, it’s easy now to tell what she needs. A couple “eh eh eh” sounds, move her from activity mat to bed, insert nuk, and almost instant sleep. How can a mother argue?!
Vivian is starting to try to grab things though is rarely successful. She likes to have something in her hand, and when that becomes her nuk, which in turn leaves her mouth, she is not happy! I’m trying to find other things she can safely hold while she goes to sleep. She sleeps in a blanket sleeper now, starting about a week ago, since her swaddle just got too small. I was just putting a blanket over her during naps, but now that she’s moving around, I don’t feel like that’s very safe until she can move the blanket better by herself.
She likes to be held in the standing position, which is also similar to Mac at this age. She also prefers to be facing the action rather than the person holding her!
