2nd Week

Vivian slept through the night for the first time on Sunday night. Unfortunately, Mac woke up crying at 2:00 a.m.! Last night, she woke only once to eat at 4:30, but again Mac woke up early – at 6:30. Well, eventually we’ll get things worked out.
I noticed yesterday that Vivian was able to track Jeremy as he walked into the room. She followed him all the way across the room where he sat down.
Other than some feeding issues that seem to be getting better now, things have been going really well. Vivian has some alert time right away in the morning and then sleeps away most of the rest of the day, though today she had a few more alert times. That’s all fine as long as she’s sleeping at night also, and she does! Mac continues to do really well and has learned that he can ask us to pass the baby to someone else if he wants to play with one of us specifically. The only time that doesn’t work is when I’m feeding her, and he seems pretty accepting of that so far. Once in a while he also thinks she should be in her bed when it’s time for him to go to bed, but so far he hasn’t complained when we tell him she’ll be sleeping in our room in her bassinet.
My recovery has been good so far and my pain is well under control. I still can’t move all that quickly, but that is to be expected.
