Disney Bed-Time Blog: Day 4

Mac had a great nap today at Mom and Clare’s hotel.  And while he napped, we had a lovely chat!  I thought about joining Jeremy since Mom and Clare offered to take Mac, but by the time he actually fell asleep we were well into our chat and I didn’t want to leave.  He ended up sleeping almost two and half hours.  He woke just in time for us to head to the Studios for our early dinner reservation.  IMG_0556 We ate at the 50′s Prime Time Cafe, a family favorite.  We enjoyed the time, though somehow our orders were quite delayed, so we sat for quite a while waiting for our food.  It’s easy to understand, being we are a party of 16, and they were very gracious about it, as was to be expected.  It was tough for Mac to sit that long, but he did pretty well; Jeremy walked around with him a few times, and Jo helped out playing with him as well.  Regardless of the delays, it was really fun.  IMG_0559We even got into the theme when most of us joined the “clean plate club” and got stickers!   A couple of us didn’t though, and the server said that if that happens we have to play “airplane” to get them to eat their veggies – Jeremy and CJ were the victims.  And Matthew helped clear the table!

After that most of us went on the Great Movie Ride.   Mac got scared and cried at the part where the shooting was happening, but he got over it quickly and did fine for the rest of the ride.  IMG_0574He was getting tired though, so were weren’t going to last long.  Mom said she’d stay with him while we tried to use the Fastpasses we had been given by the generous Begalke boys so we could go on Rock ‘n Roller Coaster – my favorite – before we left.  That way we wouldn’t have to go back to that park.  That was one of the few things I wanted to make sure I did, so Jeremy, Clare, Julie and I rode while some others stayed back and others still went back to the hotel.  We met the rest of the group at the “Walt Disney: One Man One Dream” exhibit, and Mac fell asleep during the movie part.  Then we had to wake the poor guy for the bus ride – he had his bedtime bottle and nearly fell back to sleep.  He quickly fell asleep in his crib, hopefully ready for an early morning tomorrow at a character breakfast at Animal Kingdom!
