Paint & Poly

Today was a bit less intense than the last few have been. Mac slept until 8:30, so we got to sleep in too. Jeremy got started with the touch-ups in our room then the second coat in Mac’s room while I played with Mac. It was time for Jeremy to leave for an appointment by the time Mac went down for his nap, so I finished the trim after I had some lunch.
Jo and Steph came over to play with Mac later while I got more done, then Jeremy got home in time to start the floor in our bedroom before he went to work. We finished the first coat of poly just as Jo and Steph had to be leaving!
By then Mac was ready for another nap, and apparently so was I – I laid down and promptly fell asleep! We both woke about 45 minutes later and went to Begalke’s for dinner. After a stop at Home Depot for a few more supplies, it was home to the house and bedtime for Mac. I did a load of laundry and one of dishes then sanded and cleaned our bedroom floor in preparation for the second coat of poly in the morning. Then they recommend it stands for 7 days before moving in any furniture. Now it’s MY bedtime!
I still haven’t been able to post pictures – hopefully tomorrow.
