I feel like a broken record to say Mac did great! Jeremy walked
quickly from one shaded spot to another, and we stopped for water a
lot. For those who may be wondering, we also have sunscreen on Mac – I had called to clear that with our doctor before we left.

After Tent Rocks, we drove to a scenic overlook above the Rio Grande. Complete with two waterfalls, this made a perfect spot for our picnic lunch!

On the drive back we went through/past Bandelier National Monument, and made a stop at Valles Calderas National Preserve, a prairie that has the largest elk herd in North America. I unfortunately missed quite a bit since I was concentrating more on the baby in the back seat.
