Nineteen Weeks

Mac is really on the move these days. He’s not crawling yet, but he’s scooting and rolling so much that we can’t let him play on the floor without watching him every minute now. It was recommended that we work on sitting up more, so he can learn to control his back muscles and start to crawl.
He is still sleeping very well at night (with the exception of last night when he woke up several times). It’s very cute how now he rolls to his side or tummy and sleeps in different positions. Cute, that is, until his pacifier falls out and he wakes up enough to want it back. I can’t wait for him to be able to do that himself. I just bought a bigger one to see if that helps, but I’m not going to hold my breath.
He continues to get better at eating cereal but is still a huge mess when he’s done!
We haven’t had any major changes this week, although he’s been a little fussier during the day and more demanding of attention, so not much is getting done around the house. His naps are still not too consistent other than the fact that he takes 2-4 a day of varying lengths.
Last Saturday he had his first bed-time baby-sitter when Jeremy had to work and I went to a party. He did very well, of course! He’ll have the same thing this weekend while Jeremy and I are at Melanie’s wedding on Saturday night.
