First Cold
Posted By Jill on May 6, 2008
Mac suffered his first cold this week. We noticed on Saturday after a day of dismissable oddities that our little guy had a fever. He was very stuffed up at his first feeding in the morning but seemed ok later, although he was sneezing more that usual. He also was a little more cranky than usual, but we were trying to keep him awake so he’d sleep at church. He woke up early into the church service but seemed ok sleeping on Daddy’s belly. He just didn’t seem quite right on the way home, so we took his temperature, and sure enough, it was a little high. We gave him some acetaminophen and cuddled him for the rest of the evening. We had his night feeding and some skin-on-skin with Mommy to help with the fever before putting him down for the night. He slept well, waking at about 3:30 for his first feeding. His fever had broken by morning, and the stuffiness has remained not too bad. He still wasn’t quite back to normal, didn’t want to be put down even for play time. Today he seems to finally be getting back to his regular routine and had some play time this morning.
