Ten Weeks

P1020694.JPG Not too much has changed this week as Mac turns 10 weeks old.  Jeremy has worked a little more, and I have taken Mac out with me on errands more often.  Last week we even went to one of CJ’s baseball games and then out to dinner.  Yesterday we went to school for a shower/party for Mac and me!  Today he went with me to the chiropractor and on shopping errands, and tomorrow we go back to work again.

He has been a little more cranky lately, especially in the evening.  We can’t quite put a finger on what has caused it, but my guess is that he’s tired.  Our days out and about as well as a lack of consistency even when we’re home has led to a slightly less frequent nap schedule.  I’m guessing this because today he had close to what had been his “regular” morning nap, he slept for the first part of my errands, and he was fine until evening when he didn’t have another nap.  As soon as I gave him his pacifier and rocked him, he calmed down and went right to sleep (this of course after over an hour of taking turns walking with him).  The only other thing I can think of that has changed is the weather got warmer so it’s much warmer inside and we don’t wrap him up as often.

On the sleeping subject, he had another long night last night – went to sleep at 11:00 and woke at 5:30.  Hopefully these kinds of nights will become more frequent.  It’s sure nice to get 6 hours of solid sleep!

Mac still doesn’t really care about toys yet.  He has a great floor activity thing that we’re borrowing from Jane, and he likes to lie on his back, but he doesn’t look at the toys.  He still likes to look at the TV, as strange as that seems to us.  He likes to look at us too and usually smiles.  He coos a lot and even squeals cheerfully once in a while.

We’ve started to pack up clothes that are too small… one of the first signs of our little one growing up!
