Six Weeks

Mac is already six weeks old! I took some more video today of him during tummy time when I noticed that if I put him down on his arms, he rolled over right away. I also noticed he’s been holding his head up for quite a long time now! I’ll get that video posted soon.
We’ve had some great days together over the last week. I think part of it is that we’re getting to know what he needs. I wondered if I’d ever have that ability, but it seems we’re doing pretty well. Some of that might be due to a DVD I ordered called “Dunstan Baby Language.” I think it does have some merit, and if nothing else has made us more aware of the different sounds Mac makes before he really starts to wail. I’ve only watched the first of two DVDs, so I’m sure I’ll have more to say about that later.
Mac’s schedule is a tiny bit more consistent – well, either that or I’m creating a more consistent schedule that’s working for him. He tends to be awake and alert after he eats then will get tired after a half hour to an hour, then I put him down to sleep. For the most part he is agreeable to that, but of course sometimes it doesn’t work so well, and there are many variations depending on how much and/or how often he eats on a given day.
