First Full Day at Home

P1020386.JPG The evening wasn’t too terrible. We took turns getting up with Mac and were both able to get a decent amount of sleep. When he woke at around 8, he fed well and then slept in his new crib while I was able to eat breakfast and catch up with some blog posts and photo updates. He was still sleeping when the nurse arrived at 1:00!

The OB Home Health Care nurse checked us both out and gave us some great information about the HUGS program in Hopkins and more about breastfeeding and the baby’s development. Mac had a glowing check-up and had gained an ounce and a half, which made me worry even less about the weight issue that the pediatrician talked about.

He continued to eat very well during the day and sleep a lot. Jo, Jane, Nana and later, Steph, came by after Steph’s swim meet to help out. Jeremy had to run out and pick up parts for the breast pump so we could try that option overnight, either for supplementing or substituting a meal. Jane delivered a yummy dinner, and Nana stayed with us into the evening. Jo and Steph came back after they ran some errands and got their final cuddles in before putting Mac down to sleep for the night.
