Almost Ready?

Posted By on January 21, 2008

It’s a waiting game now.  I made it through my trip to Green Bay for what unfortunately ended up being the last good Packer game this season, and with just one more time-sensitive task at work, I’m finally feeling like I’m ready.

P1020251.JPG The Baby’s “room” (actually a corner of the living room) is pretty much ready now too.  This past weekend we accomplished several tasks (it was a good excuse to stay in from the cold).  I did one more load of “baby laundry” and finished setting up the crib.  We picked up a dresser we’re borrowing from Jo and a changing table for the top that came from Julie, and I took out the sheets we washed a couple of weeks ago and made up the changing table and bassinet.  We also went out to buy a glider, which Jeremy put together and has been tried and tested by both of us – it’s a keeper!

And I finally finished Baby’s blanket! P1020249.JPG

Today I also set up the diapering stuff (Jeremy had to help me figure out how to open the Diaper Genie pail), and Jeremy filled the dresser with the multitude of clothes we’ve had in boxes.  The only thing left to do is pack the bags for the hospital, which we’ll do after the next load of laundry this week.

I can’t believe it’s really almost time for Baby to arrive!
