Perfect Day at the Pool

It took a while to get this post up. I was trying to learn how to embed the video, tried a few plug-ins, and had multiple problems with FTP and my server in the process. Anyway, this is actually video from August 12, 2007 (happy anniversary, Begalkes). We spent the day at the Edina pool – maybe our last bit of pool fun for the summer with work ramping up!

I took the video clips with our Panasonic DMC-LZ3 digital camera. Learned it doesn’t have a microphone though.
I imported them to my new MacBook and tried my hand at iMovie and GarageBand for this project. This is NOT great editing or score work, but it was my first time and I wanted to get the video put together quickly and get it posted! I will admit that iMovie is not quite as good as FinalCut (what is?), but it was adequate for cutting clips and creating titles and such – better than Windows Movie Maker, in my opinion. GarageBand is WAY cool, and I can’t wait to use that more often, especially when I get it hooked up to my piano!
Download the movie to your computer. (7.2 MB)

You guys have way too much fun. It’s fun to pretend I’m sitting poolside watching–instead of 300 miles away!
