Let’s Dish!

Jodie had a gift certificate for Let’s Dish! from Christmas, so last night she and Jane and I went to try it out. What a great idea! We could quickly prepare meals that then are frozen and can be made at home quite easily. We could choose menu items for 4, 8 or 12 meals that each serve 4-6 people. If you have a Let’s Dish! in your area and frequently find yourself at home after work with an open refrigerator thinking, “now what do I have in here that I can make into dinner…” then this is the place for you! I chose 4 meals for Jeremy and myself and was able to split each one so that we actually get 8 meals out of it. We will definitely be going back again!
From the April menu I selected:
- Manicotti with Homemade Tomato Sauce
- Marinated Flank Steak
- Montreal Chicken and Potato Grill
- Mozzarella-Stuffed Italian Meatloaves
They provided everything we needed – aprons, the kerchiefs, containers, and even labels — this organization was right up my alley! And the cost was very reasonable in my opinion. It was cheaper (and more healthy) than buying frozen meals but less expensive than going out. And someone else does the preparation and cleaning… awesome!

[...] Sunday I tried my hand at Eggs Benedict – I’m sure the next time will go more smoothly (I had a few issues), but it was yummy! Nana made making poached eggs look easy.  Then we went on some errands, I finished up some ebay business, and Jeremy had work to do. But we managed to find some time to sit outside again, reading and relaxing. I am reading Nicholas Evans’ The Divide, which is a huge improvement over the last book I read that took me about eight months to finish only to find a horrible ending! I still don’t read all that much, but it’s certainly nice to have something to do while soaking up the sun! We tried the last of our Let’s Dish! entrees for dinner while watching the season finale of Survivor. Of course the weekend ended with a good straightening of the condo in hopes of showings Monday.
